Once upon a time I wore roller skates and asked, “Would you like fries with that?” but then one day I got hired at an awesome place called Tate Publishing, and my hoppin’ days were behind me. Now I sit at a desk and edit books for other people. You might think this sounds tedious, but for me it is a dream come true.
I love my job so much that when I go home I do it some more for fun. This editing process makes me feel good about myself because it is for my friends over at The Consortium, a group that supports poor little artists like me. Their goal is that one day we will not be so poor. I also review books for them (primarily self-published and Kindle editions) from time and time and will post links for them onto this website. The Consortium has also decided that they would be nice enough to publish my own work, Into the Flames, coming March 2012. I will not be editing it. Well, I will, but then somebody else will, too. ‘Cause let’s face it, I think it’s awesome and I wouldn’t have anything constructive to say to myself.
My name is Jessie Sanders. I grew up in a very small town in Texas until my parents dragged me to Oklahoma to a town that I thought was huge but to most people is just normal size. I went to school at Oklahoma Christian University and graduated with an English degree.
I have a husband, a dog named Bella, and two cats who like to curl up on my books right on the line that I am reading. And because it’s going to come out eventually, I might as well tell you right now that I have a twin. And no, we’re not identical. That is all for now.
